Kim Walker Style C Special D at The North American Guitar

Twenty years ago, TNAG's managing partner Kim Sherman sold two very special guitars from Kim Walker through Cotten Music. We were very honored to receive them back in the TNAG showroom, and our Kim created a video showing off the stellar 1999 Style C Special Dreadnought and this 1996 000-12.

The Style C Special D is still available, but unfortunately the 000-12 has already sold.

Kim Walker’s instruments remain some of the most sought after in the world. His ability to seamlessly blend desirable vintage traits with modern precision and sensibilities create a unique experience that leaves the player wanting for naught.

This stylized dreadnought has all the crisp clarity of a great D-18, but the finish, thanks to the softer quilted Cuban mahogany, has the complexity Brazilian rosewood. The previous owner took exceptionally fine care of this instrument, and one would challenged to locate any signs of wear. The geometry remains as perfect as the day it was made, and the set-up is flawless.
