Default PJE Kanuga

I have been asked to do a thread on this guitar. It is one of the hand-made guitars by UK builder Patrick James Eggle. He is also the man behind the designs for the Faith brand guitars.

When I say hand-made that is how it is done. Any machine used is hand operated. The neck and headstock are two separate pieces and features his custom bolt-on neck.

This guitar was his last acoustic before returning purely to electrics.

Handsome guitar. That back strip is striking - do you have a close-up?

That guitar is beautiful. I am particularly smitten by the back strip.

Default PJE Kanuga

The slope shoulders does make it look a bit like a Gibson. Beautiful diamond inlays on the fretboard! Any idea how the name Kanuga came about? You seem to have a preference for 12 fret guitars, what are its pros?

PJE named some of his guitar styles after the places he lived in and Kanuga is in North Carolina. Saluda is the name of the slightly bigger guitar and Saluda is also in NC.

With the Faith guitars the Neptune series is based on the Saluda. I'm not sure if any of the Faith series are based on the Kanuga.

I don't have any preference for 12-frets it's just that I like those particular ones. I'm sure someone can say what the pro's and con's are.
