Here is a pic of Steve's Mitchell, with the abalone purfling. John thinks this is the way to go. I agree, too! So, no groovy spalted yard Maple top purfling for mine after all. And we will NOT do the purfling up the neck, as I find it distracting and am easily confused. Especially when performing. Hopefully we can go back to gigging some day...

The figure in the Kiaat looks fantastic and the SUPER CEDAR top is really interesting too. I am glad I took your advice and went for the abalone top purfling! Beautiful. Yay Hanter, now you have a reason to order another...  I have asked John for every possible comfort feature, as I find playing hurts enough anymore even with all the ergonomic help I can get!
