Kenny Hill. He's been building a crossover for decades and has refined it to a very reasonably priced lovely instrument.

Ken, your work always impresses me. That is a nice looking crossover.

Stringman here are a couple others to consider also.

Steve Grimes Hapa Nylon. Wish I still hadn't sold mine and would buy another in a heartbeat if one came on the market. My favorite neck and a fun guitar to play. mine had a K&K in it.

Roger Borys B-520. I only bring this one up because there are a couple on EBay right now for sale by the same person. Take your pick. It is probably a guitar you will only buy used. Roger was D'Aquistos apprentice and his B-520 is based on the Jazz nylon d'Aquisto made. Similar to a Buscarino Cabaret at 1/2 the price. Borys is well known in jazz circles for making great gigging guitars.

Good luck in your search
Tim

Speaking of Steve Kinnaird...he and Ryan built me a remarkable guitar (http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...=417676&page=4) and they worked on what wanted which wasn't JUST a crossover but an ELECTRIC crossover. Find someone who will work with you on EXACTLY what you're looking for.

And promise me if you listen to my YouTube link you will do so through headphones!! Sounds like crap on a laptop's speakers!!

My recomendation:

I really love the crossover model that Michi Matsuda builds. He's doing most of the things that you can imagine and a bid more, All hand build with every detail you can dream and with an unique sound too.
Amazing!!

You can have look at the Steve Earle hands here

Or to this new build from Michi

If you want a custom crossover, I recommend Dake Traphagen. I had Dake build me a custom nylon crossover with a Spruce double top and Brazilian back and sides. It sounds and plays great.

I was so impressed with my nylon crossover, I later had Dake build me a custom "000" steel string Spruce double top with Brazilian back and sides. This is also an outstanding guitar with great tone, volume and playability.
