Now, in full and fair disclosure - I prefer a less wide rosette but that's just my one personal preference. More folks probably love larger ones I think. I just wanted to mention that so you could see my opinion of the stunning beauty of this guitar (especially the finish) was "fair and balanced".
Thanks Fazool. Just so you like the hourglass burst, say what you will about the rosette

Thank you sir. Wish I could take all the credit. I saw a picture of this burst and liked it well enough to emulate.

Dang...that's a mighty fine looking guitar. Maple under a warm burst which still allows the grain figure to make a statement is spectacular. This one is no exception!

The back is beautiful. It's striking how much it looks like a violin.

It's a two step process. First the raw wood is stained with the lighter color to make the grain really pop, then it's sealed, then dark color is air brushed around the edges. Then the final clear coats are sprayed over the whole thing. (More than two steps I guess)

Give it another . I personally like the entire guitar so far. It looks very authentic and traditional, and the burst is absolutely gorgeous.

Love the back and sides, they are gorgeous. I'm not as sure about the front yet, and would like to reserve judgment until the guitar is complete and strung up. However the back alone is simply rich and classy!
