Default Can there be too much truth in advertising???

I was on Facebook Marketplace and saw this picture that was posted by somebody trying to get deck building work for her boy friend and his buddy. I think I would have chosen a different picture unless the poster was trying to tell folks that her bf was a lousy carpenter...

So I wrote to the person and suggested that using that picture as an example of his work might not be helpful. He wrote back and said he didn't build it; he just painted it. Below is the picture as it appeared before I cropped it. Am I missing something???

EXACT quote from Facebook Marketplace: "I didnt do that I painted the deck I didnt build it idk who built the deck"

He must be proud of the painting work he did to use a photo like that, but clearly he’s not recognizing that it’s not a helpful promotion for his services.

Anyone that hires him will deserve what they get.

I let it go because the guy clearly doesn't see that a poorly built deck is going to reflect on whatever he did to it if he uses that picture to advertise his workmanship...
