String suggestions
So, I find myself at a crossroad. In the past I've used a variety of D'Addario and Elixer strings (either the medium, light, or something between the two) for my two Breedlove 12 strings (one maple, one cedar top). I've used phosphor bronze (coated and uncoated) and neither really makes them sing or last. I tend to change strings roughly every 2 weeks depending on the amount of practice/jams/gigs that I'm involved in. I've heard good things about DR strings but have no experience with them. So I'm looking for input as to strings you've found success with.

When I had my 12 string Yamaha CPX700ii-12 (solid sitka top, laminate mahogany b/s), I used D'Addario EJ39 12-52. They held up well and rung out nicely. My guitar's neck was up to the task and I'd regularly tune it E to E with no issues.

Depends on the sound you're looking for. If it's bright and chime-y, then I favor the cheap Martin 80/20 strings...M180. These work, as you would expect, well on Martin guitars.
I found the Lifespans MSP7600 to be too warm for my taste, however the results may be different on a maple guitar of a different brand. These are all 10 gauge sets.

appreciate the feedback .... not looking for bright and chimey, the maple breedlove is already bright and chimey, and would prefer closer to med wt strings, looking for a fuller more balanced sound with better sustain, the Elixer and D'Addario strings have not given me that. Any thoughts on coated vs non-coated and how (if at all) that affects the tone?

I tried the 12-string set of D'Addario Nickel Bronze on my maple Guild F-412 for the 1st time recently.
Absolutely love them on this guitar. Loud, clear, powerful and nice feel. I've ordered more.

I would check With Breedlove before putting medium strings on the guitar. The higher the gauge the higher the pressure on the neck and bridge. Taylor uses 10 gauge light strings for playability and pressure.
