My daughter showed me IMGUR. Hopefully pics will appear below, or a link at least. Howard, I'm sure right about the Sperzel pins not stopping the button shaft (shaft with removed tuning knob) from slipping out. This was just a passing though I had while working on them and didn't really investigate. Once they started turning freely I felt success was at hand and wasn't curious enough beyond that point. If the pics are indeed viewable, you'll see one of how dried out the poor ol' guitar is, top like shrink wrap over braces (all though no braces are loose and guitar sounds quite good). That's 30 plus years of Alaskan winters and no humidification. Again, thanks for all the input. Bob
