Default Here we go M-audio solo

Well, I swore I would never torture myself by trying to record guitar and voice but I finally broke down and took the plunge.

I just got an M-audio solo.
Down loaded the Firewire ox on my Mac.

Do I need to buy or down load something else like a software program???

desperate in Quebec.

Those things usually come bundled with some DAW software.

I think the unit is usually bundled with Ableton Lite (on a CD Rom). I use Ableton Live and like it a lot. However for free for example you can download Audacity or Reaper or Kristal DAW software.

I'd recommend Ardour as a powerful "free" DAW (actually donation-ware). See link in my sig. Reaper might be better if you need midi sequencing (coming to Ardour later this year).
