Yes, please bring it, Jim! Maybe Tom can set up a room for all the student builds! Really happy for you.

That might be a really cool idea. If I get the person I am trying to sign he would be great to do something like this for us. We all bring our Kinnaird student builds, line-em up, take pictures and then he could play them all back to back and we can (no not pick a winner lol) all compare the sounds with the differents woods etc. Could be like a little workshop sort of thing. What affect do the different woods have on the guitar!

Ooh, I like that idea Tom. A tone seminar, so to speak. Anything that can contribute to our ability to discern differences in tonalities, and then describe those differences more articulately is time well spent.

I agree with Steve that would be a great idea! I would love to hear the different student builds out of different wood combinations all in one room with one player!

I'm really glad to have seen this guitar being built, and to see how that Plum Pudding popped. I was in the same room with John, Jim and his wife geeking out at John's wonderful stash of wood that he had for sale. I too picked some plum pudding (it's sister set) from John along with some other choice scraps. I'm not a mahogany guy much either, but you definitely made the right choice. Such a nice full-circle-feel-good build with some fine fellas. Thanks for sharing.

I'm all in on bringing my student build to the festivities.

Default The neck is on!

Steve put the neck on today!

The bridge is finished with the pins installed and the pin holes slotted

I really love the look of the bridge with the rosette and how it looks against the silky sitka spruce top!

I like their bridge a lot also, no too fancy, but some smooth little subtle sexy curves as well. It looks great.
