Default MOTU 8pre and Garageband question...

Does anyone use these in their recording chain? If so, can I pick your brain? I have a couple of questions.

PM me or joestreicher <@> bear.com

Thank you.

Wouldn't it be better to ask your questions here so that others unfamiliar with those two products could also benefit from the answers?

Default Fair enough. Sorry. didn't want to jam up the board. Here goes....

I have an imac and a MOTU 8pre running as an interface. I've connected the two via firewire and have chosen the MOTU as the mac's audio in and out. I can hear sounds through my speakers but can't get a level through the mic.

Have I missed something?

Did you select an input? Go to the details of your GarageBand track and you should now be able to select an 8Pre channel 1-8 that should correspond to the input you are using on your interface ...
