Default Display your Fall Colors

We are just back from hiking up in the White Mountains of NH. We make an annual trek to take in the Fall Colors in and around N. Conway, route 302, 16 & 16A. Here are some unedited photos of this years colors up and around the region of N. Conway, Bear Notch & Crawford Notch.

So, if you are fortunate enough to live where nature puts on a show, display your colors !

Beautiful! I spent my first 30 years in PA, and this was always a favorite time of year. But here in NorCal, the Sierra is probably turning, but we still have another month before colors peak here in the valley.

We just went over Monitor pass yesterday and it was gorgeous with the aspens turning. Same all around Tahoe.

Fantastic pics! I hiked a little more than half of the 48 4000 footers in NH over two summers back in 2005-06. Just an amazing place to be.

We have just returned from the Pacific N.W. and Alaskan cruise......amazing experience! One of the highlights was a trip off the ship and into the Canadian Yukon about 70 miles in. A life memory for me is when we came upon Emerald Lake....trees turning and some snow in the distant peaks. Wanted to share what that day revealed just two weeks ago.

How do you know when it's fall in Florida?

The colors on the license plates begin to change.

LOL, so true. Lots of snowbirds from Canada begin to arrive as well late in Fall.

The trees haven't quite started turning here in SW PA yet. I'm looking forward to it though.

Sadly, all the maples in the area seem to be suffering from some sort of blight too. In years past they'd turn a beautiful golden color against some vivid blue skies but that's all gone now.

Default that was then...

This was from September 26. We are moving on to the next phase with a foot of snow possible for tomorrow ...
