Default Pickup installation question

I'm going to order a custom strat body from Warmoth. I want to install the pickups like the single coils are installed on this guitar but I"m not sure how it's done. I'm assuming the pickups are adjustable via the screws on either side, but how is the pickup held in place?

If anyone has experience with this kind of installation, can you tell me the secret?

If you look closely at the edge of those pickups you cans see they are screwed directly into the body, between the screw hole and pickup is a Spring, it is typically installed to apply upwards pressure, so adjustment is also just vee the mounting screws

Thanks Steve, Would it make sense to install a threaded bushing in there so the screw isn't chewing up the wood when adjustments are made? Or is that overkill and too much worrying on my part.

Either, I see both versions come through. If you just use a screw however and it does strip out eventually, then you just plug it and redrill.

I get to work on many guitars, I can genuinely say the warmoth stuff is very well made

Thanks Steve. Any idea where I might be able to get the bushing and screw combo, preferably in black?

Warmoth has such a customisation option, pretty sure they would install them for you if you asked.

Local hardware store would carry the bushings or eBay etc, look for knurled 3 maybe 4mm female insert, hobby shop (trains planes etc) would have black screws.

I personally lathe my own bushings and make my own screws for jobs like this.
