Default J45 alert!

I have nothing to do with this ad and I'm not in the market for a Gibson right now. I just saw the ad on NYC Craigslist and thought one of you Gibson fans might want to go take a look;

Wished I lived near there. Potentially a steal.

Or the price could be too good to be true. That's the doubting Thomas in me.

If you live close it's a no brainer to at least check it out.

How do you know? Doesn't look beat up in the photos. I paid the $900 a few years back for my j45 rosewood and it was in excellent condition so I'm proof that great deals are possible. If I lived near, you can bet I would check it out.

I don't know, but pictures sometimes tell a different story that what it looks/feels like in person. I've fallen for the "good deal" a time or two on craigslist only to see a guitar that couldn't have been the one in the pictures. Could be a great deal, but also could be pretty banged up once seen in person. Price is great, just curious as to why it's low...like everyone else lol.

It is my understanding that up to around 2003 the orange label was standard. After that Bozeman used a white label for standard and custom guitars (not be confused with Custom Shop creations) and the orange label for guitars with "vintage" or historic appointments such as the J45TV. But then again, Gibson being Gibson exceptions to every rule are par for the course.

Texted the guy and he sent me some photos. it's definitely not an orange label, I think the lighting is just bad in that photo.

Checked out the serial number. It's a 2013. I doubt he's willing to ship or I'd snatch it up.

Send him a Reverb box and prepaid shipping label. That's a score! Looks to be plenty of saddle. Hope it's not stolen. GL
