Default SCGC Custom OM Grand ordered

Having seen and listened to up close, William Coulters OM Grand last year, I decided to have one built of the same woods. Made sense since I am so involved in playing some of his arrangements. I'm working with Carolyn and my dealer and hope to have the order placed by this Friday. Really looking forward to this. Here's the specs:

OM Grand
Brazilian Body
Moon Spruce
Cutaway
Nut & Bridge chg Nut is 1 13/16ths Bridge String spacing is 2 1/4
Brazilian Bridge
Abalone Rosette

Black Celluloid throughout
Side dots white MOP
No inlay on fingerboard
Do not attach pickguard
Strings typically used: D’Addario EJ24 (3 light gauge strings & 3 medium gauge )

Yes, that's the OM he played prior to his new SCGC OM Grand Cutaway. I have it on good authority that it has gone to a good home.

Smile SCGC OM Grand

That looks like a spectacular Brazilian back. Looks like you picked out a stellar top too. I will certainly be following this thread with anticipation, especially since you are a Baranik-owning Arizonian like myself.

Showing some of the sapwood on the Brazilian back might look really nice. I have an African Blackwood Baranik CX that has some sapwood in the middle and it really sets off the dark wood.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing.

That does look like one awesome set of wood there. This will be a great build.

Jason Kostal is also a Baranik-owning Arizonian.
