Default Fingerstyle guitar compositions

Here is a playlist of some acoustic fingerstyle songs I've recorded. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing. Playing is generally fine. Composition wise try for more tune development and try to be melody conscious.
Work on a better recording sound. You might want to do some reading in the Record and Play parts of the forum.

Daniel,

Thanks for sharing your music here. I am enjoying listening to your compositions. I really have no criticism for you because, as I already mentioned, I am really enjoying your work.

Thanks,

Tony

Your playing is first rate however I think I see what Rick-Slo is getting at. There is a certain similarity to most of the songs though I think "Some Place Better than This" is most excellent.

But the basic arpeggio patterns for a given song are mostly repeated through out . So it seems like there is vocal part that hasn't been added yet. With vocal the same patterns are usual as the vocal verses will usually be different. Just think of it as how monotonous a song would be with the same lyrics for each verse and no chorus or break.

I think of an instrumental as having different verses just as a vocal would. In the case of the instrumental different arpeggio patterns or sounds make for different "verses" and a chorus or break helps broaden the overall effect.

I think that is what he means by "more tune development and try to be melody conscious." You have some real potential.

Good clean playing Daniel, welcome to the forum too. I really like the 007 theme.
