Its gonna be amazing.
I thought about doing a matching neck, but I hesitate to deviate from the recipe of the guitar I really liked. I think it looks a little better, but I like the light weight of mahogany.

Good call, IMO. I'd love to have a Circa 00-12 made with these woods.

Been waiting for this one. Love my new Circa OM. Had debated switching to these specs but stuck with German/Madrode. I guess that means I’ll need another. Looking forward to watching this develop.

You made the right choice with the OM. That spec is a classic. But, yes, you’ll need a 000-12c as well. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Default Don’t forget sustain...

“000-12c is a fantastic guitar because it has the punch of presence of an OM but with a deeper bass and more girth.”

I agree and the shorter neck puts the bridge ‘more better’ in the middle of the top and you get better sustain from the shorter neck, especially if you have a wider neck and a multi-piece neck.

Is that true of a Martin style 000-12? I always thought the bridge stayed in the same place but the upper bout was elongated to the 12th fret (or, more accurately, the 14 fret upper bout was shortened to the 14th fret compared to the 000-12, which came first). I could be wrong. Martin history is complicated!

As I know, a Prewar spec Martin 000 12 fret would be long-scale~

I’m talking about the bridge position relative to the body, not the scale length.

Fantastic, Juston! It's nice when you and your builder have an exact point of reference for how you'd like your guitar to sound. In this case, it couldn't be more ideal - He built it! I agree on sticking with mahogany for the neck. Don't muck with the recipe. . . .

A big pile of X braces from a Steinway piano. My X brace is in there somewhere.

I guess when you don't have much of an update, a picture of brace stock is about the best you can hope for.
