If the case has a super long hair in it, you'll know the source.

I am happy for you. What a tone palette!

- I even tried to get my friend to buy this guitar 3 days ago.

Enjoy the extravaganza.

Default NGD Guitar Pictures

Here are some pics. I found the soundboard photo on the web. The luthier uses some innovative techniques. The braces have laser cut holes in them much like wing spars on an airplane. I love the aesthetics as well as the size. While the lower bout is big for me (16"), the high tight waist makes it easy to play holding in on my left thigh. Without the high waist, the lower frets would require an uncomfortable reach. The bridge plate is honeycombed rather that solid also reducing soundboard weight and presumably permitting a larger deflection for any given impulse. The woods (Adi / Honduran Rosewood) are beautiful and have the promise of improving tone as we break them in.

The tone is on the bright side of neutral but still pleasing at least to me. Lots of sustain and harmonic content in each note but still a very strong fundamental. I use my Greenfield for DADGAD. This guitar will stay in standard tuning. I'm very happy with the purchase. It's a wonderful instrument.

This is the first Calton case I've seen in years. They seem to have made lots of improvements since all that drama a while ago. VERY substantial build. The clasps are reinforced heavily and the edge makes a tight seal. Still a big Hoffee fan but the folks at Calton are making a really nice product.
