Default Songwriter vs ChatGPT

After reading another thread in this sub-forum ( https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=663574 ), I decided to see how I (a songwriter) compare to ChatGPT (an AI program). I wrote a song called "Sunflowers and Sunsets", and I figured few songs have been written about that, so I went to ChatGPT and asked it to write a song about sunflowers and sunsets . . . here's what it came up with:

Verse 1:
Golden petals in the sun
Tall and strong, they've just begun
Reaching for the sky above
A symbol of enduring love

Chorus:
Sunflowers in the sunset
A sight that never gets old
With every ray of light they soak in
Their beauty just keeps growing bold

Verse 2:
As the day comes to a close
They bow their heads and softly pose
With a warm and gentle glow
The sunset paints them orange and gold

Chorus:
Sunflowers in the sunset
A sight that never gets old
With every ray of light they soak in
Their beauty just keeps growing bold

Bridge:
And though the night may bring the dark
These flowers will still shine so bright
A reminder that in every spark
There is still hope and delight

Chorus:
Sunflowers in the sunset
A sight that never gets old
With every ray of light they soak in
Their beauty just keeps growing bold

Outro:
So let us take a moment to admire
The beauty that surrounds us all
And let the sunflowers in the sunset
Be a reminder to stand tall

I think it leaves a lot to be desired, but it surprised me.

For comparison, here's my song:

“Sunflowers and Sunsets” - (David Pennybaker)

Sunflowers and sunsets / Ain’t got time for those
That’s how I felt / Not that long ago
One shows up each evenin’ / One comes ‘round every year
They ain’t nothin’ special / They’ll always be here

Sunflowers and sunsets / Vivid yellow-orange hues
Puttin’ on a show / For everyone to view
Year after year / Night after night
Keep on keepin’ on / For all our delight

Sunflowers and sunsets / To you it was clear
Displays of God’s beauty / You held them so dear
You were right / I was too busy to see
Now that you’re gone / They mean somethin’ to me

Sunflowers and sunsets / Vivid yellow-orange hues
Puttin’ on a show / For everyone to view
Year after year / Night after night
Keep on keepin’ on / For all our delight

Sunflowers and sunsets / Remind me of you
Back when I thought / I knew what to do
I keep on searchin’ / Though I’ve known all along
Forgiveness can’t be found / I ain’t done nothin’ wrong

Sunflowers and sunsets / Vivid yellow-orange hues
Puttin’ on a show / For everyone to view
Year after year / Night after night
Keep on keepin’ on / For all our delight

Sunflowers and sunsets / Vivid yellow-orange hues
Puttin’ on a show / For everyone to view
Year after year / Night after night
Keep on keepin’ on / For all our delight

And my first work tape of the song (done a few days ago):

I declare myself the winner . . but I might be a bit biased.
