Yes. I use soft cotton on the body and microfiber on the strings.

Takes about 60 seconds.

According to Don Van Vliet AKA Captain Beefheart in his 10 commandments of guitar playing:

“8. Don’t wipe the sweat off your instrument

You need that stink on there. Then you have to get that stink onto your music.”

I don’t always follow that advice

No but I nearly always wash my hands before I play. Guitars get a good wipe when strings are changed. I have some shiny/worn spots on a few but that's just honest play wear.

Yes always. Especially the strings and fretboard. Rag runs under the strings and over the top...

Just the neck (front and back) after playing. Whenever I change the strings, the whole guitar gets a thorough cleaning with lemon oil cleaner.

Only wipe down after playing for glossy-finished guitars at the neck and body because of the smudges from my arm. Maybe that’s why I prefer semi-gloss or satin-finished guitars.

I always wipe down the neck, strings and fretboard with a a cotton diaper or a fine-weave micro-fiber cloth after a playing session... helps keep the strings fresher, longer.

The body? Every once in a while, or if I noticed that I've drooled on the top bout and face while "getting into it", singing a song or two!

Most times, a slightly dampened cloth will take off any thing on the guitar body... I don't use any wax/cleaner/polish, but sparingly... and maybe every 6-12 months? Any more than that, and I' just "polishing the polish", know what I mean?

Not after every time I play it ... but about once a week.

I’m pretty clean and dry. I don’t see any of me on my guitars after I play them. I just routinely clean the guitar with string changes.

Hi P1

Microfiber shop rags from a 'big-box' store (in the 24 pack). They are about 14 in square.

Never.... that would be too much work and it would keep me from playing.

I don't wipe down. My hands are clean when I play but even then I probably should at least wipe down the strings.

I just bought a box of cloths very much like microfiber at Costco so I'm going to put one in my guitar room and see how I do. I won't wipe down the guitar but I'll try the strings.
