2012 Laurent Brondel Honeycaster 60s Telecaster Style Blue Sparkle - SOLD
Hi everyone,
I'm offering for sale a Brondel Honeycaster, a 60s style Tele reproduction hand-made by Laurent Brondel in late 2012. He is perhaps more well-known for his acoustic guitars, but his reputation for excellence is well-deserved for his electric guitars as well. fullfront.jpgfullback.jpgheadstock.jpg Specs: 1 11/16" nut width 2 1/8" bridge string spacing Birdseye maple neck Cocobolo fretboard Abalone dots Alder body (2-piece) Custom wound Peter Florance Voodoo TE-59 pickups, 4-position selector Wilkinson bridge w/steel compensated saddles Gotoh vintage tuners Dunlop 6100 fretwire Bone nut Weight: 8lbs zoomfront.jpgzoomback.jpg The cocobolo fretboard (love the abalone dots) and the attention to the fretwork really stand out. The jumbo frets are gleaming, well-crowned, and feel great. Even the bevel is nice and straight on both treble and bass sides. The neck and body are made from scratch, which is notable for bolt-on guitars these days even among small shops and independent luthiers. A lot of attention went into this electric guitar. frets1.jpgferts2.jpg The guitar cosmetically is overall in very good condition. There are some paint chips as pictured. The finish is starting to check as well, making for a nice patina. A lot of mojo from this one. It comes with a beat-up but functional rectangular tweed case. chip1.jpgchip2.jpg chip3.jpgchip4.jpg Needing to face the truth I rarely rarely bust out the electric guitars. This is a really nice one from a great builder. SOLD I can send the same pictures in larger size / higher resolution for those interested. There are more pictures from when it was originally completed here. Thanks for looking and any questions please let me know. Last edited by DLQ; 09-26-2019 at 05:57 PM. |

OBO UPDATE BUMP
A guitar I've been interested in has surfaced, so I'm a little more motivated to sell this guitar while the other is still available. I think this Brondel is priced reasonably so instead of reducing my asking, I'm inviting any offers from those who are interested but maybe felt their number was too aggressive. Thanks! |

Hi thanks for the post, I’d say it’s a “C” 60s style. Let me know if anything else!

GLWTS.
I'd love to have one of Brondel's electrics. This is an aside, but is he even making electrics anymore? Last time I checked his site, I didn't see any electrics showing. Does that make this guitar even more rare and special? |

Thanks! And in the case it's true they're not being made anymore, I of course agree it makes it more rare and special
