Guild F50 RNW. Brazilian Rosewood.
Has anyone ever heard of a Guild F50 made with Brazilian Rosewood back and side? I know they make them w/ East Indian RW and I have the opportunity to buy a 1976 that the owner thinks is Brazilian ?

You may want to pose this question at the Let's Talk Guild forum. There may be some temporary outtage there, however. I can't currently access it, but was on it this morning.

The Guild F50 "special" jumbo 6 string that John Denver played for a few years may have had Brazilian Rosewood. I will have to do some more digging to see if this is accurate or not.

My F-50R from 1967 has Brazilian rosewood arched back and sides, but this is a lamination. After that (between '68 and '70 or so), you might find solid Brazilian.
1976 is extremely unlikely to be Brazilian, Guitamo... There was very little supply of it in Guild, and what remained in the early '70s might've been used on the sides of some guitars but not (usually) the backs. I seriously doubt that a '76 F-50R is anything but Indian. Great guitars, though. Don't get me wrong. But very unlikely to be Braz.
