That is very nice! I especially like the rosette. Elegant.

That's a beauty. I am looking forward to receiving my first guitar from John at TAMCO.

I own a couple of John's guitars--both 000's. One is an African Blackwood and Italian 000-C much like this new one. Just an excellent guitar period. Aside from being a super nice guy, John builds outstanding guitars and imho his 000's are absolutely among the very best out there.

I'm a big fan of the blackwood/koa combo with the lighter top. Same wood on my 12-string jumbo.

Wow, that's actually a very similar wood combination as the one Paul and Kyle are building for me. Thanks for posting this! It is an absolute beauty.

Thanks for the nice comments.

I am not the type of player that could record something "postworthy," but this 000 is heading off to AGF sponsor Dream Guitars. Most often they will make a sound clip of the guitar, so hopefully we can hear something from them.

Here are a couple more shots

the theme is; "take incredible pictures of incredible guitars". 4' shop lights. Some foil and a drop cloth and your $99 camera.
Or just send her off to me. I'll snap some pretty stuff for you. As we know, I am more of a photographer than a guitar builder
John, any chance this will be put on a dvd or online? I'm just a poke around amateur photographer, but would love to know how to best combine my two hobbies.

One of the many joys I've had on working with John over the years is seeing some of the guitars I've illustrated come to life! This one is no exception!

I had a feeling when I illustrated it a while ago that it would be a spectacular looking guitar. And as always is the case, no matter how 'close' I come to depicting the guitar with all its features, appointments & materials—they always pale in comparison to what finally comes off of John's bench.

Beautiful guitar!

Hi Kevin,

Thanks to looking at the pictures of your spectacular 12 string, I discovered John Osthoff!!

I have had a couple of long distant phone conversations with John, he is a great guy and builds super guitars as can be seen in his latest creation above.

best,

Keyshore
