1950's Airline Archtop
Hey all,
I'd like to submit my archtop for discussion. I don't know much about this brand, other than Airline was the Montgomery Ward brand of guitars. This instrument is in pretty good shape, the action is a little high (from what I've experienced, this is common). Does anyone here have any knowledge about this model or the Airline line? |

Make sure you're wearing your argyle sweater when wearing it.
I like that maple neck. You can lower the action by removing the nuts from the bridge. How does it sound? |

It's not as warm and deep as a higher-end archtop but it does have a nice tone to it.
I like to believe this was some 50s kid's first guitar, picked out of the Monkey Wards catalog and he thought this was the coolest thing he'd ever own. |
