Another update ... neck is being carved today, body goes into finish on Monday.

Body, fully bound, with others in this production run:

Headstock carved, neck clamped, with body dovetail cut in background.

I've been remiss about posting photos of the finished guitar on here ... and I will be taking more photos to add shortly. I also would like to record the guitar.

The guitar is superb, it's the largest guitar Carter-Poulsen makes, but it is as light as a feather. You know how some guitars you can play an open G chord and have it resonate right through your body? This is one of those guitars.

It is also available for sale on my website. I will miss it when it goes to a new home.

this is a very fine looking instrument in every respect, I'd like to hear what it sounds like.

I finally got around to shooting some more shots of this beautiful instrument. I love how the koa purfles sparkle against the darkness of the burst and the rosewood binding. The mahogany on the neck, back and sides is beautifully figured, it looks almost 3-D under the finish.

Closing it out with a couple of short videos ... excuse the lighting and claustophobic camera angle!
