Don't expect it to sound like a miracle for $500. Archtops are hard to nail, much harder than flattops. I have owned many archies over the years, and the Godin being a laminate doesn't automatically dismiss its potential. The Gibson L-50 was a tremendous laminate archtop, so it can be done.
