Lowden O23 custom from 2017, Downpatric era jumbo acoustic guitar with L R Baggs Anthem dual source pickup and custom fingerstyle neck. Includes original Lowden-branded Hiscox hard shell case.

Solid bastogne walnut back and sides, solid red cedar top - one of George Lowden's favourite wood combinations, particularly in this body size.

Lowden don't normally offer the 45/60 fingerstyle neck (45 mm nut, 60 mm string spacing at the saddle) on the Original series guitars like this, so this is a rare opportunity to get it.

This guitar is virtually mint. The only marks I've been able to find anywhere are two or three very minor ones on the top of the neck on or by the fingerboard. Otherwise it's in showroom condition.

Asking £2,799 (obo). New price for this is at least c.£3,600 on the old 2016 prices (plus a fair wait for a custom order and no guarantee you'll get such a nicely figured set of walnut), so you can get yourself at least £800 off.

It has been kept in its case, properly humidified in a smoke free home.

As I understand it, the guitar doesn't have any rosewood in it (bridge is bocote I think), so I don't think there'll be any CITES issues for international buyers.

Cash on collection from London SE24 or EC2/EC3, UK preferred. Please let me know if you'd like to try the guitar. I will sell internationally. Buyer to arrange shipping and insurance at their own cost and risk (and is of course liable for any duty/taxes on import, CITES issues (if applicable) etc).

Actual postage price may be subject to change – buyer pays actual postage and packing cost. I have posted guitars with parcelforce the to UK before and the postage is typically around £25. However, separate insurance needs to be arranged (by the buyer).

I will need at least 3-5 working days from receipt of payment before dispatching, probably longer (especially with international transfers), given some recent stories of payments being reversed.
