about a 5 minute walk from Fylde guitars. I work about 20 mins drive from Haydn Williams, another fine builder in the wilds of northern England.
I suppose this is a less interesting question in the UK where none of us really lives more than a few hours from any of the builders lol!

I live about 5-10 minutes away (depending on traffic) from the Larrivee and Cordoba/Guild factories in Oxnard, California.

My sister in law lives about an hour out from the Furch factory. Always love to visit family.

I'm about 15 miles from Brook guitars. You wouldn't call their workshops a factory though! David Oddy, who builds stringed instruments for the likes of Show of Hands, lives 5 minutes walk from me and does my setups in his garden shed.

Up until last year, I lived about 15 miles from the Guild/Ovation factory. Sadly, the factory closed, Guild moved to Oxnard, CA and Ovation is pretty much a lower-cost end Asian made product.

Huss & Dalton are 3.5 hours away. Small shop builder Kenny Marshall is a half hour away.

We are fortunate to have some of the world's best luthiers here in Minnesota. Within a couple hours you could be at Jim Olson's barn, Charles Hoffman's repair/build shop and Terrence Kennedy's shop in Alexandria, MN.

I live about a 30 minute clip from Fender Corona, about 2 hours from Guild in Oxnard, and about 1.5 hours from Taylor in El Cajon Ca.. I have been to the Taylor tour and to their repair center a couple times last year. Quite the experience you might say. But I own a Martin and a Seagull guitar.

I'm 1 hr. 30min. east of Nazareth, PA. the home of Martin Guitars. I stop in about once a year on my way to Bethlehem PA. or the Amish country.

From the age of 1 day to 21, I lived 45 minutes form Nazareth, PA and actually had friends and parents of friends who worked for Martin all those years and some still do. Never been there and now that the motivation is there, I live in GA. Eventually will get there.

I live about 80 miles from the Collings factory.

Never been there myself, but I've given my cousin Jamie considerable grief about not working there: he lives just outside Austin, is a skilled woodworker, and if he'd only work there, I could get GREAT deals on Collings guitars. But no-o-o-o. He'd rather be his own boss and build cabinets and custom rocking chairs. Phooey!
