Default NGD Taylor 322 12-fret/Shoutout to John at Shoreline

I should first say that I'm not a small-body guitar guy, but this 322 12-fret could change all that. I'm amazed at the depth and richness of tone of this little critter. Sustain is amazing and ease of playing/comfort are outstanding. I've got to admit that I secretly scoffed at those who boasted about the strummability of Grand Concerts, but this 12-fret GC made me a total believer. John at Shoreline Music https://shorelinemusic.com ordered this without electronics which is exactly how I like my guitars. Big thanks to John for outstanding sales, service and pricing as well as stocking a Taylor just the way I like 'em - no cutaway or factory electronics....

Dang those are so gorgeous!
I just had the chance to play one too. You're right...full and rich along with easy and fun.
Congrats on a good one.

Congrats RP!

What a pretty guitar! I remember playing the Taylor 522 at Dusty Strings some years ago, and I thought that was a very nice guitar. So I have a little bit of an idea of what you have there, especially after watching the video from Shoreline! Very nice!

If I ever get another Taylor, that model may be the one. I played an all-mahogany custom 12-fret 4-5 years ago and it simply sounded and played fantastic. I would expect this one to sound very similar, if not better.

Enjoy the new guitar!

Ah, the 322 12 fret......
I just recently posted my own NGD for the same guitar, no cutaway/ no electronics.
When I first tried one of these the thing that grabbed me was the deep full tone of such a small box, and the chime that I heard from the highs.
I said that I had not ever heard that out of mahogany, and the salesman mentioned that the B/S were solid Tasmanian Blackwood. I too ordered mine.
My Luthier really dialed in the set up, with the deepening of the nut slots being the most significant change. It sounds even better.
I also like the matte (or satin) finish, as I don’t have to worry about scratching it. It’s very durable.
So far the John Pearse PB strings sound the best for me.
Enjoy your new guitar, and thanks for posting.

I really want one of these. I've played a few and each time I've had a very hard time putting it back on the rack. Taylor hit the ball out of the park on that model of guitar, as far as I'm concerned.

Congrats!!! The Mahogany and Tasmanian Blackwood wood combination is just deep, warm, earthy, growling magic.

I love my 324 and I bet the 322 sounds just as phenomenal! 😎

My 324 is such a joy to play and has an unfamiliar Taylor sound, which in my book is a good thing. I like it much more than a 414ce rosewood back and sides. This is a stand out guitar and I can imagine the 322 is equally as good.

Have had one, without electronics, for two years (thanks to Ted and Helene at LA Guitar Sales). Remarkable sound, wonderful to play and listen to. Enjoy yours, I'm sure you will
