Investors of substantial means actually invest in Strads.
Musicians can't afford them.

I'm remembering that I read an interview Bill Collings had done a few years back...

He was asked how he expected a working musician to be able to afford his guitars at his price point...

He said "If I had to make a living selling guitars to musicians, I'd be living under a bridge..."
