"Aetna" is the Latin name of Etna, the Sicilian volcano at whose mountainsides the composer was born and still lives. With this title he wanted to unify symbolically the "fire" of tango (which is appropriate to the volcano as well) with the passion of tango itself (passion which characterizes also his homeland, Sicily).
"Premonition" (I) is the phase in which the volcano isn't already in eruption but starts to give the first signals of what will be its complete activity.
"Fire" (II) is the one in which the volcano symbolically rages in all its fascinating and exciting strength.
