Thumbs up D'Addario (Boveda) humidipak long-term storage review

I have an inexpensive acoustic that is sentimental to me (a re-purchase of the first guitar I ever bought & owned). I don't have a spot for it and really just have it to have it. So I needed to stow it long-term safely.

My son bought me a D'Adarrio humidipak kit as a gift. I put my cheap guitar away before Christmas. I put the large double pack in the soundhole hanger and the small one under the headstock. I added protection by sealing the case in a super-oversized clear trash bag, tied shut, then on a shelf behind a clear shower curtain.

I just pulled it out, expecting to need to recharge or replace the packs.

It's been four months.

The packs aren't even half way depleted yet.

By adding the sealed bag cover, the humidity in my case was maintained perfectly in a dry winter. I can foresee this arrangement being good for a solid year of storage. Great solution for long-term parking.
