Emerald X20 and pickups
I am captivated by the X-20.
I hardly ever play 'plugged in'. If I was to purchase an X20 Opus without a pickup, am I correct in thinking that it would be a bit tricky to add one later?

That sound hole makes it easy to reach in there and mess around.

Good to know - thanks! It wasn't clear from the photos and videos I've seen.

Should be no harder than one of those old school wood instruments

No, not tricky. That said, if you would happen to later want a k&k, ask Emerald to prepare for it as it seems there’s a bit of work (sanding?) needed on the inside to best facilitate placement/adherence. I don’t think it costs any more. Also, I recently ordered an X20 custom without electronics, and although I don’t intend to later install a k&k, I did ask that the endpin/jackpiece be properly drilled/installed for later electronics installation.
