Most of the Somogyis I played were in Blue-G and a store in Osaka. I have similar observations. My favorite, the 97' jumbo was more powerful and louder than the other guitars... I am just wondering if there is a big bracing difference between them... I know that the newer guitars have lighter build (my 01' OM is heavier than my 08' Mod D), better craftsmanship, a change in truss rod style... not sure about the bracing though...
