Default Hobbies besides music?....

Hello. I haven't been terribly active here, in the past, but with my recent retirement, I may be spending more time hereabouts. Just a tad curious about some of the fellow members other hobbies.

I'll start, of course..

I'm a runner.
I love to read.
I'm a retired cop, and I enjoy keeping up on my shooting skills.
I have a pretty decent knife collection.

Anyone else? Interesting collections or hobbies?

Feral cat rescue

Used to be an insanely active SCUBA diver but haven't been down in 20 years. Hoping to resume that someday.

I cycle quite a bit.

Mostly to the pub.

I used to do more sports, but have mostly given them up, (as walking round and round the pool table, or up and down to retrieve darts has become a bit too much.)

When I was a kid, my hobbies were sports and music. Now that I'm nearing retirement, my hobbies are sports and music. I'm nothing if not consistent.

I'm getting into woodworking which has been fun. Maybe one of these days I'll try my hand at building a guitar. I also enjoy photography a lot, but I honestly spend most of my free time hanging out with my wife and young kids.

Crafts and small woodworking.
Like large custom windchimes which are harder to tune than a guitar.
Been lately building a few high end wood wind spinners.
Exploring Oregon with my girlfriend, trying to document all the covered bridges and waterfalls.

I suck at guitar (new challenge). Prior to this undertaking, during my younger years I excelled in just about any sport at a competitive level, played tennis and won many tournaments, hit with Bjorn Borg, Chris Evert and a couple more well known players, (blew opportunities for scholarships ), soccer I played lots with wasted opportunities to move to a professional level. I could go on and on about sports successes. My 1st wife made it impossible for me to continue my "jock" activities so I gave up everything. I was released (divorced) due to good behaviour 14 years ago, at which time I got into fly fishing and I have done extremely well at it, it is not competitive but very challenging, I am very passionate about it. I married for second time to a wonderful woman who encourages me to pursue new challenges, hence the guitar.
A week ago she mentioned she would like to learn to play tennis, man let me tell you, we have been hitting tennis balls everyday and we are both loving it, I never realized how much I missed it. I am currently looking at buying some good gear (racquets, hopper, etc.). The bug has hit me again and I am hoping that at my age (56) I might want to play competitively once again, those days of winning Wimbledon or the US open are long gone, but the passion to play competitevly are back.
I am retiring in a month and looking forward to pursuing the guitar challenge and hitting a few million tennis balls plus some fly fishing.

Gardening, mainly flowers, not so much vegetables,
I have a nice variety of flowering plants and bushes and trees
on my small piece of property.
Plus a Gala apple tree that is full of apples right now.
I just joined a local gun club, so target shooting.
I like bicycle riding and playing tennis, when I can.
(I still work full-time, so I can only do things on the weekends.)
I love cats, and have adopted 3 over many years, from local
no-kill shelters.
I like tinkering with small engines. I have no real skills,
but get lucky once in a while. I bought a 1977 Columbia Commuter
moped years ago for real cheap, and got it running nice.
I used to ride a motorcycle, but gave it up after a couple of very close
call near accidents.
Once in a great while I go freshwater fishing as well.

"My three dogs"

So, every night, you must have a three dog night?

<---insert drum roll and cymbal crash--->

For me....

Mowing the grass, my grandson, listening to music by others, my church and the peeps that go with it, my woodshop
