Arrow Christmas Carol Songbook

EDIT
I've been working to update my Christmas songbook after a busy holiday season of singalongs.

Changes include:
  • Added a number of Christmas songs
  • Fixed some minor typos and artist references
  • Restored them to alphabetical order (previously versions I had added songs by way of an appendix - messy)
  • Restored page numbering
  • Matched page/song numbering between songbook and singalong book
I hope you enjoy the new content and revised format. I'll post these links again in November, but if you want to spend these cold Winter days/nights to get prepared early, here you go:

Christmas Songbooks

Steve

Hi Everyone,

It's official, Christmas is at hand. If you're new to the AGF in the last year, you may not have seen my songbook offer. You may find my Christmas songbook to be helpful as you practice for that holiday gig, or for playing along at the family holiday gathering. see link above
Please be aware that about half the songs are copyright protected. You may pass this along to others for solely educational purposes, and not for profit.

I lead carol sing-alongs in some of the local retirement and nursing homes, so I also have a large-print book of lyrics only. I often throw in readings from the Christmas story between songs. see links above

I will be adding a few more songs during the festive season, so I'll post back when the update is ready (probably in early January).

If you have any technical problems getting the files, just PM me.

I hope that this contributes to more musical joy over the upcoming Christmas holidays - for both you and those you play for.

Steve

PS - this offer is made possible through the magical power of Dropbox. It's a very cool free tool for sharing files over the internet. If you haven't already signed up for a Dropbox account (free and secure), please PM me your email address. I will send you an email invitation to join. For every referral that signs up, I earn extra free storage space.

This is my first Christmas on the forum, so this is new to me.

Thanks - much appreciated!

And another great big 'thank-you', Steve. this is amazing - you've obviously put hundreds of hours of work into this project.

Now I'll have to start learning - who even knew there were so many Xmas songs.

I just agreed to do a Christmas program at the nursing home where I was a rehab resident for a good long while. Thanks for making the songs AND the large-print lyrics available! You've saved me a bunch of prep time!!!

A bump for a great resource - if you're new to guitar and love Chrismas carols like I do.

This is very good work! Thank you. I had to buy a better capo to make all the changing easier, but that's definitely not a bad thing. I'm practicing for Christmas now.

Thank you SO much for this! I've been considering buying a Hal Leonard christmas fake book, but being able to put this on my ipad will save me a lot of trouble (All those big books get heavy!).

I hope it's cool if I pass this on to my classmates! I'm sure all us music majors will greatly appreciate it.

That's fine - I'm happy to 'share the wealth.' Just be aware that about half the songs are public domain and half are still copyright protected by the original songwriters.

I'm glad folks are finding it helpful.
