Default Martin Pat Donohue Artist Model OM-30DB -- #20

***SOLD***

Hi,

Those who know this model, know it's out of production and very special. Specs are noted below. I've posted a few pics (I hope so this time -- darn Flickr and MacBook!--sorry if these don't show up). NEW PHOTOS ADDED TO FLICKER OF GUITAR...AGF members get a special discount. Thanks.

Contact Bob at 503-784-9962 or emails work best for photos. If they don't show up here you can get off my Flickr account. I flew across country to get this one, but a new build is almost finished. [Please note there is a photo "set" of the Martin OM-30DB in a separate section of the pictures. Other guitars will also show up if you use just the photostream. All great guitars, but most are now gone].

Fantastic trades considered, but cash preferred. Have local interest, so if you want at this price, let me know soon. My eBay handle is rsh5 and I'm 100% positive over 13+ years.

Here's a YouTube sample of the guitar and sound:

New price of $3,200 shipped in CONUS, with PP costs gift or money order. Trade value would be $4k or so. It cost twice this new ($6,600) and is mint (9.8/10.0), and I don't use that word lightly. It's the second one I've owned and they are wonderful instruments: articulate for finger style, flatpicking and anything in between. EIR/Adi. Regular scale (noted below in specs).

Great all-around guitars at a giveaway price. Ask me for more photos. Actual guitar as pictured. Also getting ready to list a Huss & Dalton Custom Shop CM Australian Blackwood B&S guitar (Koa family), so let me know if interested in that as well. It will be significantly less than new at $2,800 shipped in CONUS (new is over $5,000 now). Trade value $3,300. It was made in 2008 and also 9.8 out of 10.0 condition. Case ding on top of tweed case, but not a scratch on the guitar and comes with LR Baggs iBeam pickup.

Here are some photos and a link to somebody playing this model guitar (the Martin artist special). They are that good out of the box, and infinitely better with hundreds of hours of playing. It's the best production guitar I've ever played or owned. Beats any Collings (no offense) and most Santa Cruz (haven't tried them all yet). Rivals comparable Goodalls and Froggy Bottoms. Top of the line Martin guitar. You won't be disappointed.

Arrow Huss & Dalton CM Details to follow

The guitar is a Model CM Custom. Serial #2383. Huss & Dalton dates the make to 2008. Here's what H&D had to say about the guitar's B&S woods, which are in the Koa family, "You were right about Koa being similar
to your Australian Blackwood, they are both of the Acacia genus,
though they are different species. Aussie Blackwood is of the species
Acacia Melanoxylon, while Koa is of the species Acacia Koa. They
share the same genus, so are like sister woods. As far as logistics
go, Koa is only found naturally in Hawaii, or so I'm told. Anything
else that seems similar should be a different species."

All I know is it sounds spectacular, like a 1930s guitar made of Koa and Sitka.

Bob

P.S. Photos up this week. The guitar is out on loan to a friend for his son's memorial service.

Thumbs up New lower price for Martin Pat Donohue OM-30DB, #20

New, lower price, shipped to AGF members. Have local interest, so request photos. If going to Flckr, go to the "set" marked Martin Pat Donohue or you'll get lots of guitar photos.

Only selling to fund a new build, and found the Rob Ehlers I'd been looking for for over three years. Too many guitars and these Martins are rare, out of production, and only going up in value. If I put it on eBay, it will be $4K to cover my fees.

Thanks,

Bob
