Default Eric Skye -All The Things You Are

https://youtu.be/anQV6WCDAZ0

New tune from my kitchen today. The wonderful Jerome Kern ballad, All The Things You Are. I hope you find it entertaining. And if so -to be a little forward- I’m very grateful when people can take a second just to hit the “thumbs up” on the Youtube page, or leave a comment, subscribe, or even share it with friends if they feel so inclined. It seems silly, but that stuff actually effects the algorithms of these websites in a way that helps further my cause and often lead to more concerts, workshops, Skype students…. keeping me in groceries and fresh strings!

Very nice, Eric. Enjoyed your playing and tune selection as always. Have you ever covered a Bill Evans tune?

I have done Blue In Green and Flamenco Sketches which are both credited to Miles Davis but generally excepted to have been written by Bill Evans. I do Waltz For Debby, but have not recorded it yet.

Wonderful piece! Outstanding guitar work! You keep raising the bar - this would make a great title track for a new solo CD - hint-hint ;-)

Love the lead lines throughout your arrangement, Eric.

And your tone is sublime.

Absolutely lovely, Eric... I enjoyed it. I like Jerome Kern... I loved "Show Boat."

Glad I discovered your tunes via a recent Stephen Bennett thread post. Great playing buddy!

Lovely playing and arrangement.

And I've always admired how, at the end of the bridge, Kern very consciously paints himself into a chordal and melodic corner. It only makes sense if you perform it as if it makes sense. So it's fitting that you performed it in a corner.

Very well done, Eric! I really love that song, anyway, and your version was fantastic!
