Default McCartney brand guitar?

Hola, I’m in Guadalajara, and found several music stores across from our hotel. I went in to see if there were any guitar brands I had not seen in the US. I saw McCartney guitars, which were knockoffs of Ovation. The one I played was actually OK, good intonation and ok unplugged tone, did not plug it in. It had a loooong crack across the plastic bowl. I’d actually buy it if I was into that kind of thing, and drill a stress relief at each end of the crack and epoxy it. Problem solved.
Never heard of them before. I would imagine that Joe McCartney or Fred McCartney or Pedro McCartney is running the company, as Paul probably has better things to do than market knockoffs in Mexico. Anyone have one?
