WRX is pronounced "Works", and was conceived to represent my "factory" support for privateer (disadvantaged) musicians. Ask and ye may receive.
Speaking of "factory" support, I have the third coat on the offsprings' gift, and the color is showing nicely: |

My acquaintance, Leandro Barneche, has a pet film project featuring luthiers from around the world, and it appears he is about to receive the funding to move forward quickly. I have linked here the trailer than he is using to communicate his intentions, shortened somewhat from the one I may still have linked to the front of my website.
Check it out, about 2 1/2 minutes. |

Hey Bruce, really enjoyed the singing! Thanks for sharing that.

The singing compliment is appreciated! I penned the song I am singing (and forgetting a word or two) in the early 70's.
Today I buffed out the gift and glued the neck onto the body. Then, because I am using PVA instead of HHG, I was able to surface the fingerboard and glue in the Fretboard inlays (CA, of course). Another hour and I'd have the frets in, but instead I must eat. So tomorrow. This last week was so enjoyable I decided to make another similar guitar. Which I nearly have done. Same template, also walnut though of a fancier grade (same as last year's all walnut), and topped with Adi. Also PVA and WRX. I have big plans for this guitar and will talk about that soon if it works out, which seems likely at the moment. I know, unfair. Here's the new body: |

The "Gift" is ready just in time. I went to the garden in a seeming lull of rain to take some photos and got a cloud burst in the middle of the session. Oh well. Here are six photos for your pleasure. Perhaps I will find time for a clip, but don't count on it. The guitar has a less than perfect finish due to the rush, but there is no apparent deficit in sound.

I have a way of making myself do what I imagine I cannot, so here is a "Gift" clip: Home with the Girls in the Morning. I will swallow my embarrassment at the rough edges.

No reason to be embarrassed. My eyes are tired so after I clicked the start button I closed them to give them some much needed relief. I found myself lost (nicely) in the tune and would not have minded if it went on. It is refreshing to hear a piece where every last facet is not polished off, you catch an unexpected sparkle or two that makes it sound like you are listening to a performance and not a recording.
The guitar sounds great also, lucky girl.

I think it's great Bruce, both the guitar and the music... Are those Schertler tuners? I've used them on a couple guitars and I find they work admirably.
I also like the rain droplets in the pics; we don't see too many of those here (maybe in the CF section...) |

Man Bruce - I love the looks of your WRXs. Love that long dart on this one especially. Someone will be a happy camper!

Laurelyn is a very lucky girl... I hope that she makes beautiful music with it.

What a great dad and a fortunate daughter. I'm sure Laurelyn will cherish the gift all her days. Really enjoyed your playing. Merry Christmas Bruce.
