1952 Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ)
Up for sale is a killer 1952 Gibson Southern Jumbo. Here’s a video demo:
https://youtu.be/5r2rjjRJtjk I recently had expert guitar tech Dave Johnson (formerly of Carter Vintage Guitars) do the following work: - Refret - New bone saddle and nut - Reglue a few back braces and the X-brace - Cleat/stabilize top crack There are also some short and stabilized side and back cracks that were addressed before I got the guitar. There is a cleanly plugged hole on the lower side from a previous pickup. The endpin is black plastic (non-original). Lots of wear around the soundhole. The finish is entirely original, with the exception of a bit of lacquer inside the top wear and a tiny bit of touchup on the heel, perhaps after a neckset done sometime in the past. Also, the tuners have been replaced. The important thing, though, is that this guitar sounds fantastic – just what you want in an early ‘50s Gibson dreadnought. Excellent balance, powerful low end, great projection, easy to play. It has the right “look” too! Asking $5,300 + shipping. Not interested in trades. Comes with black hardshell case. Where are you & the guitar? Is the case generic? Always enjoy your commercials.

Hey gibsonfan, I'm located in Franklin, TN (just south of Nashville). The case is a pretty generic black Martin hardshell case, but it does fit the guitar well. Let me know if you have any other questions about anything!
