I love the look of it as it is but it is hard not to with spectacular wood. It would be a pleasure to look at either way but it just flows around the guitar. Rather than both sides drawing your attention to the end graft (which normally is a treat anyway) the lines have you view the sides as wrapping themselves all the way around the guitar. Bruce did a wonderful job of lining the sides up, way better than the example picture would suggest. But he has been pulling off multi-piece backs with you really having to look and guess where the joint is. And he makes it look easy.

I like that it carries through the back center strip. You still get the sweep across the butt end, but it looks very classy this way.

After the first coat of varnish finish.
The colors and figures are coming out nicely.
