Blems on Amazon
I am looking at picking up an Alvarex AF30CE for my travel guitar. When I did an online seach, I found two locations offering 'blems' for about 100 bucks cheaper than the local retailers such as GC. Since I have terrible eye sight anyway, I am seriously considering this option, as the sound and feel (and cost) are my main concerns. Have any members had any plus or negitvie experence with these 'blems'? They are being sold via Amazon and I have read that several members have used Amazon in the past with no major issues. Thanks.

Blems (factory seconds) on a Seagull are practically undetectable, even with good eyes. I can't say about what Alvarez puts out though. As long as they are guaranteed to be purely cosmetic and not structural in any way, you're probably safe.

I agree...as long as it's cosmetic, I wouldn't worry about it. Packing it around is gonna add to the number of blems it has anyway.
