Default PADI Gain w/ K&K Mini

Hi Gang,
I recently had a K&K Pure (Western) Mini installed in my RT Style 1. I've been using the PADI with my other Taylor ES fitted guitars and it works really well. My question is, when going from an active pickup to a passive pickup, what changes will I have to make on the gain setting on the PADI? Any of you out there using the K&K with a PADI what position do you find best for the gain control with the Mini?
Cheers,
Mark

Hi mark...

Gain is 'input' from the guitar, and Volume is 'output' to the amp/PA...

I run the gain as hot as I can without overdriving the ParaDI. With soft to moderate players - 11 o'clock to noon. Loud players 9-10 o'clock.

There's no magical setting. If it's being overdriven, I back it off a little bit.

Thanks Chitz / Larry,

I basically went back to Audio 101 and zeroed everything out and started with gain at nothing and gradually increased it until I began distorting the signal a bit and then backed off about 10 minutes worth of our circle. Ended up right between 9:00 and 10:00 so it looks like I'm right in the ball park.

Thanks for the help.

Mark
