OO-18 Authentic 1931
Howdy,
Not a post I had hoped to make, someone will be getting a special instrument. Martin puts everything into their Authentic line. I've owned two (this and the OOO-28K) and they look, sound and play fantastic. This description sums it up: The Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931 is a faithful reproduction of the original 1931 design. Designed with a spectacular Adirondack Top with the Vintage Tone System (VTS), the Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931 is full of sensational overtones and amazing volume. The VTS top allows the Adirondack to sound aged and broken in which leads to tones from the historical period Martin is aiming to recreate. I own one of these and it's my #1 for sitting and playing for almost any genre. It really is one of the best builds out there from the authentic series. Someone will really enjoy this.
