I received a copy of photos via email.
The photos are not that good (blurry, etc.) , although they give some indications for me. I'm 99% sure this is an Asian made Bozo...not a guitar build by Bozo himself. Everything points to this. Truss-rod cover, pickguard, headstock inlay & discoloration, drop-in (rather than slide-through) saddle. One thing Bozo did on *all* of his handcrafted guitar was to use a wood-stamp to mark "Bozo Podunavac" all up and down the center-strip on the inside back of his guitars, also on the neckblock and back-braces. I can't see any of these stamp-marks with the limited photos you have of inside the guitar...but what I see doesn't show this. No original label shows with the photos...and as for the Brazilian rosewood, claim, I think not. I would completely defer to Brian Kolner's expertise on this, on the FB group...so I hope the OP goes there.

Mostly as an excuse to figure out how to insert pictures, here are some of my Japanese Bozo 12 string. Might help the OP figure out what he is looking at. I sold it for less than the cost of a new LKSM 12 string. Real Bozo's easily go far north of 10K.
Edit: Sorry - links appear to have broken...will have to investigate the deeper problem! Last edited by GBS; 01-01-2018 at 06:57 PM. |
