Congrats! I definitely hope to try a Gibson, and particularly this model, if I can ever make it to a nice guitar store!

I measured 3 3/4" at the upper bout and 4 1/4" at the lower bout. Not sure about the standard J-45, but I've seen references that the lower bout of the Standard is 4.5" in depth. All I know is that I could feel the difference when playing the two guitars. The Studio is very comfortable to hold.

Thank you, AC. One of these, or maybe a g-45 studio just might be finding it's way into my guitar room this spring.
I'm going to get out and try a few and decide, but I think this Studio size will make a lot of people happy. |

Thanks for measuring that's great!
Someone else can measure a regular j45 but I think the lower bout is about the same as Martin dreads, 4 7/8". |
