Default You Even Saddle Bro?

Customer brought this into my shop today. Just some advice, when you need a neck reset, get a neck reset, don't do this. I decided to immortalize it in meme fashion.

Yeah pretty common practice. I'm restoring a '60's Guild d-40 now that had the bridge shaved down to about 1/8th inch.

It does depend on the guitar though and the cost of a neck reset.

It is common indeed. You are correct on the cost vs. guitar, at times I just feel as though sometimes folks take it way farther than needed. Just humorous to me.
