I've been playing it for about an hour now and its better than I expected. Which is good because I expected a lot of it. It's basic tone reminds me of the 08 Doerr Legacy I had but it takes a pick better and it has a little more bass and volume. That 08 Doerr I had is a killer guitar so this is also a good thing. The German Spruce top is the best I've ever seen.
Tom did a great job, its breath taking to see, play and hear!!!! I'll post a video of it in the next few days.

Bobby I'm so glad you like it! You were great to work with. I am very pleased how the guitar turned out. This guitar was my first Solace without a cutaway so is always nice to have firsts when your building a guitar for someone. Thanks again Bobby and I'm looking forward to your videos.

I took the day off from work today to play this guitar most of the day. All I can say is WOW!!! I put my favorite strings on there today. Which are the .0125's-.055 Martin SP 80/20 MSP3150. I had to turn down the mic input on my recording rig for this guitar by like 3 notches from where I've had it for a lot of my other videos. Its a crazy powerful guitar. The whole instrument is alive in your arms. The tone is very rich and it draws you in.
here's my video. It was recorded with an Avantone Small Diaphragm mic into a Presonus Fire studio directly into my iMac. I didn't use the Baggs pickup at all for this recording. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzrfCbpiUNA
