Default OM acoustic guitar build

Hey,

I posted pics of a few kit guitars I made a couple of years ago. Since then I have built a few more from scratch and wanted to show some pics of my latest build. This will be an OM sized guitar in sitka spruce and south american mahogany. Ebony binding / bridge / fretboard. I should be ready to start finishing it next week.

Moved flat. Still no workshop, but I have a bit more space to build now. I use a router and a jigsaw for a few jobs but mostly this is done by hand.

Cutting the scarf joint

Thicknessing the mahogany sides. Doesn't take long with a sharp plane blade.

Thicknessing the spruce top. Goes even quicker than the mahogany!

The rough components getting to know each other

Voicing the soundboard braces

Box closed

Neck joint cut

Nut slot trimmed with router for the first time

Will post more as I progress. Enjoy!

Thanks. Here is the finished thing. Sounded really good in the end and after a thorough setup plays really smoothly.
